The Abbottabad Commission launched to fix the blame for Osama bin Laden's presence in Pakistan and also to look into the securiy lapses that resulted in his killing by the Navy SEALS May 2 last year is clearly a hoax.
At least one Pakistani general who opposed the military's dealing with the al Qaeda and Taliban paid for his life but the so-called commission never looked into the circumstances surrounding his killing by fellow army soldiers.
Major General (Retd.) Ameer Faisal Alavi was fearing for his life and had written to Pakistan army chief Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kayani about the injustice done to him. When Gen. Kayani failed to respond, the late Alavi knew his days were numbered.
Carey Shofield in her book Inside the Pakistan army has wriiten about Alavi's determination to fight the Islamic extremists for which he paid with his life. America's most favorite dictator Gen. (retd.) Pervez Musharraf had fired Alavi three years prior to his killing by officers of Pakistan military.
