Update 1/3/13: The veterinary clinic has just announced that Miracle did not survive.
Animal control officials made a pitiful discovery in Henderson, Ky. on Wednesday.
A puppy was found beneath a trailer in 19 degree weather. In fact, it was so cold that the abandoned pup's mouth was frozen closed and his body was partially frozen to the ground.
The puppy has been taken in by the Humane Society of Henderson County and they have dubbed him "Miracle," because, as they have stated, it will take a miracle for him to survive.
When Miracle was initially discovered, he was so cold that he could not move. Adding insult to injury, he has tested positive for parvo.
Miracle is under the care of veterinarians at the Animal Hospital in Henderson. As individuals learn of his sad story, they are rallying to help in any way that they can.
Donations are being collected by the humane society via a Chip-In account (click here), as well as directly at the veterinary clinic, whose phone number is 270-826-5060.
