Three weeks ago, a beautiful, black pit bull mix was abandoned after hours in the parking lot of the Animal Protection League Inc., in Anderson, Ind.
Initially, the bewildered dog tried to chase after the car that she had unceremoniously been discarded from, but it was to no avail. Frightened and confused, it took shelter staff three days to finally catch the abandoned dog who has been dubbed "Nina."
Shortly after Nina was dumped, a local news agency covered the story about Nina's abandonment; the news coverage produced a great deal of attention for Nina, but then, everything stopped and she seemed to simply disappear from public interest.
Today, the sweet dog who was cast aside is still waiting for someone who will adopt her and provide her with a home for the rest of her life.
A portion of Nina's Petfinder bio reads:
Nina is a gentle soul who loves snuggling and walks well on her leash, too. Nina was dumped in our parking lot after hours. Nina deserves an amazing, devoted home who will give her all the love and reassurance she deserves. Available today!
A volunteer who took Nina for a walk has stated that she was calm and sweet and noted that she did not seem to be bothered by other dogs.
Please take a moment to network Nina's information - she needs a new owner who will not fail her again.
