Former NFL star Aaron Hernandez was arraigned this morning at 11:00 AM PT on charges he murdered 27-year-old semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd. Hernandez has long insisted he's innocent and has just pleaded not guilty to all of the charges against him.
Last month Aaron Hernandez, 23, was formally indicted of criminal charges, including 1st degree murder, possession of a high-capacity firearm, possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm and 2 counts of possession of ammunition.
The courtroom was packed, with the parents of Odin Lloyd sitting in the front row, visibly upset. Hernandez looked over toward what appeared to be his attorney as he responded his not guilty responses to the first 3 charges that were read.
His attorneys did not ask for bond at this time, but reserved the opportunity to possibly do so at a later date.
A pretrial date has been set for October 9th.
