The Animal Angel Rescue Foundation of Stoney Creek, Ontario has been working hard to save Hamilton area Pit Bulls from being euthanized and there are so many of them that the public's help is needed.
“Rocky, Corky, Pablo, Zoe, Roxy, Sally, Squirt, Whiskey, Tyra, Calvin, Arnie, Preston, Nala, Reggie, Diamond, Paige and Tristan are just a few of the dogs that were slated for euthanasia under the Province's Bill 132, a province-wide ban on pit bull type dogs that was enacted in August of 2005,” says a spokesperson for the foundation. “Since this bill was passed thousands of dogs just like these few have been euthanized for no other reason but because of their breed or because they resembled this restricted breed in some way.”
AARF Rescue of Hamilton/Stoney Creek has been working with local animal control to help save these dogs.
“Your generosity and continued support has helped to make this possible. The generosity you have shown has helped us to cover the cost of airfare enabling us to move them out-of-province to safety."
The foundation desperately needs your continued support to save these pit bulls from certain death. To make a donation, please contact deannaaarfrescue@yahoo.ca and put ‘Pet Inquiry: Help Needed, PFId#15841644’ in the subject line.
AARF Rescue is also in need of various large kennels and is willing to pick them up, if needed.
The Animal Angel Rescue Foundation (AARF) is a non-profit rescue organization that relies solely on the generosity of the pubic. It exists to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home abandoned, abused and unwanted animals. AARF was established in 1998 to work with the local animal control and rescues dogs and cats that would otherwise be euthanized.
AARF uses a hands-on approach to train and rehabilitate animals so that they may become family pets. Their program proves that the rate of successful placements is far higher if the animal is healthy, socialized, well trained and re-homed in an environment suited to his or her personality.
AARF ensures that all dogs and cats that come into the rescue are fully vetted. Each and every one is vet checked, wormed, treated for fleas if necessary, spayed/neutered and micro chipped. As well most of the puppy mill dogs and senior dogs that are rescue need extensive dental surgeries removing most or all of their teeth.

These dogs are NOT being euthanized, they are being slaughtered by the Ontario Liberal Gov`t.They are simply forcing other people to do their dirty work.
