AAA Tipsy Tow for New Years Eve drunk drivers: Tipsy Tow phone number

How do you get a free ride from AAA Tipsy Tow if you drink too much on New Year's Eve? Keep the number for AAA's Tipsy Tow service in your pocket and if you get drunk ringing in 2012, this service could save your life. The American Automobile Association is offering free towing and a ride home between the hours of 6pm Saturday, December 31st – 6am on Sunday, January 1, 2012. **Note: If you are in Southern New England, AAA is not participating in this program this year.

You do not have to have a AAA membership to use this service on New Year's Eve. Call the AAA Tipsy Tow phone number at 1-800-222-4357 (1-800-AAA-Help) and ask for Tipsy Tow. A tow truck will be sent out and you, along with your car, will be taken straight to your home. If you have friends with you, the driver will take along as many passengers that can fit safely in the truck. (read important information below)

In Rhode Island, there are ten AAA locations but AAA in Southern New England is NOT participating in the Tipsy Tow program this year. For other AAA services call (401) 868-2000. Please check with your local AAA to see if this is operational in your area. States that MAY be offering the program at this time are Hawaii, Texas, New Mexico, Alabama and California. Call your local AAA to be sure.

AAA Tipsy Tow also operates on Super Bowl Sunday, St. Patrick’s Day, Cinco De Mayo and Memorial Day weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day weekend, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
