On Dec 14 in the Historic Town Center Park, San Juan Capistrano everyone can enjoy real snow at the 'Winter Wonderland' of fun. The holiday event, which is put on by the Economic Preservation Committee and the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce, goes from 10:15 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Besides the snow, which will be brought to the site, there will be inter-active games, crafts, musical performances, caroling, free gift wrapping, cider, hot chocolate, cookies, and visits to Santa in the Los Rios Plaza.
Wear your ulgiest Christmas sweater and enter the 'Ugly Sweater Contest where you can win a prize, have the kids bring their sleds to ride on the snow, go shopping at the 'Second Saturday Art Faire' for unusual gifts which you can get wrapped for free by presenting your receipt.
Start with a festive kick-off 9 a.m. at the Tustin Station, 2975 Edinger Ave, Tustin where the first 50 people will receive free tickets, free refreshments by Nothing Bundt Cakes of Tustin, and live music with Carolers to send one off at 9:45 a.m. for the ride to the San Juan Capistrano Station, just a short walk from the historic park.
The event is free but anyone wishing to donate non-perishable food items to the 'Second Harvest Food Bank' can spin the wheel to win a prize.
