I must admit. When I first found out that Francis Ford Coppola ventured into the wine world, I wasn't all that impressed. I mean, just because the guy knows how to make a good movie, that doesn't mean he should be making wine.
But, I was way wrong. Coppola wines are quite tasty, especially the Rosso. This red blend contains Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syra. Zinfandel is my absolute favorite red wine, and no, it is not the same as the nasty pink concoction known as White Zinfandel. Rosso has a delicious blend of plums, cherries, strawberries, and some may even taste a hint of mocha.
I like my Rosso with a nice margarita pizza or tomato-based pasta dish, and I guarantee you will, too!
