What Hollywood's finest will drink on Oscar night

As Hollywood’s top-candidates for the coveted gold statue walk the Red Carpet next Sunday night (March 2) they will offered a selection of four Sterling Vineyards wines and a handcrafted Johnnie Walker cocktail.

After the show, A-listers at the Governors Ball will get a chance to swill The Glamour Shot, a chic concoction featuring new Baileys Vanilla Cinnamon mixed with Goldschläger® Cinnamon Schnapps and served in a glass rimmed with edible flakes of real gold. Other libations include a Blood and Sand, a classic whisky-based cocktail originally created for the premiere of the1922 Valentino movie of the same name, or sip the supremely modern CÎROC Coco Light Martini. The calorie conscious and stylish CÎROC cocktail has less than 130 calories.

A Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky Bar, stocked with a range of deluxe whiskies, and featuring rare blends including Johnnie Walker Platinum Label and Johnnie Walker Blue Label, will be available for winners to celebrate and losers to drown their sorrows. Drinks will be poured over hand carved ice, and presented by a Master of Whisky.

For days and even months before the show many went to spas or on special diets to be able to squeeze into skin tight numbers or tuxes. But once the curtain falls on the yearly production, caution and thrown to the wind as celebrities consume Chef Wolfgang Puck’s spectacular and varied menu of more than 50 selections of imaginative hors d’oeuvres and small plate entrees and dessert washed down with a limited production 2012 Reserve Sterling Chardonnay and a 2008 Reserve Cabernet from the wine cellars.
