Are you “wine”ing about what to do this weekend? Many will be as they come out to the Annual Gettysburg Wine & Music Festival, today and tomorrow. This weekend marks year nine that this event has been in place. So come and check it out for yourself at the Gateway Gettysburg Complex at 95 Presidential Circle.
The party starts at noon on both days, Sept. 7 and 8 and will continue on through 6 p.m. Good times will come in many forms, from fine food, good drink, and exciting entertainment. As a celebration of the grape harvest, the festival will feature hundreds of fine wines from 25 wineries throughout the state of Pennsylvania.
To make your spirits sing even more than the wine alone, comers to the festival will enjoy live music throughout the day. From 12:30 p.m. on through 2 p.m., Brittany Opperman will be performing live, followed by Half Serious from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. River Knot will close the show from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
On Sunday, the doors open and the music continues on. First to perform will be the Colgan-Hirsh Band from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The Moon Dog Medicine Show will be next to follow from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Then Dyin' Eyler Brothers will close the day from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to wine and music the Wine & Music Festival will host many great vendors of food as well as arts and crafts. Be sure to stop by for the perfect compliment to your pallet.
