A week of "Hed," "Sex" and Pam Ann's "Cockpit" (Photos)

New year is in full swing! Lots happening this week.

Heklina and her troupe will return with more tranny "Sex and the City" episodes. I hear tickets are just flying out the door so they are doing the run for an indefinite period.

Heklina says it will start off with episodes that combine popular show themes including when Charlotte's husband couldn't get it up and Samantha finds love and lust at the raw restaurant, where Smith Jared worked. Gee, I wonder if they will have a hot sexy man playing the part that Jason Lewis made famous on the show.

To keep it fresh and running longer, Heklina promises new episodes every few months. Keep up with the "Sex" girls at www.trannyshack.com. It runs Wednesdays at Rebel, 1760 Market St. @ Octavia. Two shows nightly every Wednesday, 7pm and 9pm.Seating is very limited.

Speaking of trannies, sort of, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" is still going strong at the Boxcar Theatre. It was just extended to Feb. 23.

The first time around, director Nick A. Olivero had the great idea to take the multi-faceted leading character and break it down amongst several actors. Even though Jason Brock didn't come back - too many engagements since becoming an "X Factor" finalist - it still has been doing well in its cabaret style, raw and riveting incarnation.

But before you opt for "Hed" or "Sex," you should know that comedienne Pam Ann's Cockpit comes to San Francisco for one night only - this Saturday, Jan. 19 at 7:30pm at the Castro Theatre.

Pam Ann brings back her airline tricks and humor and will likely keep the audiences gasping for more in her one woman show that has been a giant hit as it's traveled around the country to kudos galore! This is where I'd normally insert airline double entendres, such as her act is first class or keep your seat belts fastened for an evening free of turbulence. But let's let Pam Ann stick to the airline humor.
