There is so much to do around the Los Angeles area. I was fortunate enough to take a walking tour around Union Station located in Los Angeles, California. I had never realized its beauty.
Union Station opened on May 3, 1939 and is the main railway station in Los Angeles. In recent years it has become a major hub for Southern California serving over 60,000 passengers a day. This includes Amtrak, Metrolink and Metro Rail.
Union Station replaced the older La Grande Station and Central station. It must have been very interesting back in those days to be driving down the street and seeing a train riding along side of you.
Union Station was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
There is an organization called Los Angeles Conservancy which offers many walking tours in the Los Angeles area. It is worth joining.
Happy walking!
