A Vote for Peyton Manning is a vote for Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain, Inc.

Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning is a finalist for the FedEx Air NFL Player of the year. The voting is already open and will stay open till the 24th of January at 7:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

Every week of this season FedEx has been posting players for the fans to vote on for their Air & Ground Players of the week and year programs, which will end up with the winning player’s local Junior Achievement’s Entrepreneurship Education Programs receiving a $25,000 contribution in the player’s name. This will bring the total FedEx has donated with the Air & Ground program this year to $130,000.

The Air & Ground competition gives the fans a chance to nominate the top Quarterbacks, the FedEx Air Player and Fed Ex Ground Player, the Running Backs, from teams who they felt showed the most leadership skills for that week of play. There is no limit to the amount of times you can vote, so get those fingers warmed up and start voting.

Week 1’s winners were Peyton Manning, from the Denver Broncos and LeSean McCoy from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Week 2 Aaron Rogers and James Starks from the Green Bay intercepted the winning votes.

Week 3 Peyton ran a Quarterback sneak taking the Air votes for the week with DeMarco Murray running the votes in for the win on the ground side.

Week 4 Drew Brees from the New Orleans Saints marched in with the Air Win and Adrian Peterson from the Ravens swooped in snatching the ground win for the week.

Week 5 Tony Romo rode in for the win from the Cowboys followed by Jamaal Charles of the Chiefs taking the ground win.

Week 6 Nick Foles from the Eagles swooped in for the Air win while Eddie Lacy took the ground win and a road game with the Packers.

Week 7 Quarterback Matt Ryan captivated the airways with the air win for the week while Chris Ivory from the packers rushed for 104 yards for the ground win.

Week 8 Drew Brees from the Saints took the air win for a second time this season and Andre Ellington rocked with 154 yards and a score for the ground win.

Week 9 Nick Foles, of the Philadelphia Eagles, tied an NFL record of 7 Touchdown Passes and takes the air win as Chris Johnson from the Titans played an exceptional game against the Rams for this week’s ground win.

Week 10 Drew Brees takes a third air win and teammate Mark Ingram marches with him for the ground win.

Week 11 Ben Roethlisberger from the Steelers took to the air win while Bobby Rainey grabbed the fans vote for ground.

Week 12 Philip Rivers led the Charge in an Air assault on the Chiefs for his win and Adrian Peterson drove through the Packers for the ground vote.

Week 13 Peyton Manning had a lucky week as he took to the air for another win while Adrian Peterson with the Vikings dominated the ground assault running for over 200 yards for his well deserved win.

Week 14 Drew Brees takes another win for the Air Title this week while Eddie Lacy drove hard on the turf for the Packers to earn his ground win this week.

Week 15 Matt Cassel from the Vikings dominated the Air assault over the Eagles for his win this week and Eddie Lacy from Green Bay dug in for another ground win this week.

Week 16 Peyton sets a new passing record taking the air with this week and LeSean McCoy from the Eagles wins this week for another ground win.

Week 17 Drew Brees takes another air win this week and LeGarrette Blount from the Patriots makes two touchdowns in their game against the Buffalos earning the ground win this week.

Congratulations to all of the weekly Air and Ground winners, which now brings us to the Final FedEx Air and Ground Votes. Who will you vote for? The nominee’s for the Air Player of the year are:

FedEx Air Quarterbacks:

Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints. Brees was nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week nine times, winning five.

Peyton Manning of the Denver Broncos. Manning, who was selected to the 2014 Pro Bowl, was nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week nine times, winning four.

Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers. Rivers was nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week three times, winning once

The FedEx Ground Running Back Nominees are:

Jamaal Charles, Kansas City Chiefs. Charles, who was selected to the 2014 Pro Bowl, was nominated for FedEx Ground Player of the Week twice, winning once.

Matt Forte, Chicago Bears. Forte, who was selected to the 2014 Pro Bowl, was nominated for FedEx Ground Player of the Week once.

LeSean McCoy, Philadelphia Eagles. McCoy was nominated for FedEx Ground Player of the Week four times, winning once.

Remember there is no limit to the amount of times you can vote so start voting. The polls will close January 24th at 7:00 p.m., Mountain Standard Time (MST).

After the votes have been counted a winner will be announced and their local Junior Achievement’s Entrepreneurship Education Program will receive a $25,000 contribution in the winning player’s name. In the Metro Denver Area Junior Achievement Rocky Mountain will be the recipient.
