A Very Mild Thursday Ahead(After Heavy Flooding Rain Overnight)

Highs and lows for Wednesday(along with record rainfall)
Highs and lows for Wednesday(along with record rainfall)

Whew! What a soaker today! As of the 5pm climate report Philly International Airport was approaching 3" for the day and across the suburbs over 5" of rain had fallen since Midnight! That's why there have been flood warnings all afternoon as streams and creeks can't keep up with the rain draining into it and overfilling its banks.

A very potent system with heavy rain pushing through Wednesday night

The heavy rain continues overnight with even some strong thunderstorms possible as a warm front pushes northward; temperatures will actually rise overnight as well and settle around 65 or so by sunrise. This means on Thursday we'll have a mostly cloudy day with another round of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon as the cold front pushes through. Highs will be in the middle and upper 70s!

After we clear out overnight with lows in the middle and upper 50s we'll have a sunny end to the work week with highs in the upper 60s. This weekend we'll be between 65-70 with sunshine and clouds as not only does an upper level low push through Saturday(providing the clouds and maybe a light shower or sprinkle north), but then a cold front works through late Sunday night into Monday morning to provide some rain as well.

Don't forget that you can see the rest of the 7-day for OUR area at
