Palm Springs is about to welcome three new hotels to its roster of playground getaways.The first new hotel to open its doors is the Monroe Palm Springs which debuts this Sunday, September 1. The budget-friendly hotel will dole out perks such as free Wifi, coffee, snacks, laundry facilities and even breakfast at nearby Rick’s Restaurant and Bakery.
The most notable of entries is a 160-room Hard Rock Hotel scheduled to open, after a few delays, on October 4, 2013. Also opening in October is Sparrows Hotel, a 19-room boutique property originally built in the 1950s when it opened as El Rancho Lodge.
For readers who like staying at newer digs, there are four properties that have opened since November 2012 you might want to check out. These include: In The Skylark Hotel (formerly Camp Palm Springs), The Curve Hotel (formerly Travelodge Palm Springs), Random Haus Palm Springs, Travelodge (formerly Cambridge Inn) and Bearfoot Inn, a men’s resort.
