The Woods Hole Inn t-shirt contest is an annual event, exciting guests and other fans of Woods Hole with a very special challenge – wear your Woods Hole Inn t-shirt in an especially unique, far-flung or just plain original location. Guests have been spotted in Antarctica, atop the Eiffel Tower and on the jumbo-tron in New York City in this fun contest now in its’ third year.
The winner of this year’s Woods Hole Inn photo contest is Colleen Klinker of Reading, MA, whose baby Noelle was born at 12:12 pm on December 12, 2012, with her mother sporting our distinctive t-shirt. Colleen and Noelle were featured in news stories as the celebrity birth of Boston this winter. The family has won a two night stay at the Woods Hole Inn for the ingenuity and impeccable timing of their contest entry.
The runner-up prize goes to Cheryl Knight of Merrimac, MA, for her creative and comical mug shot photo set at the Beverly Hills police department. With her tousled hair and running mascara, this photo “inspires us to think outside the box,” said Woods Hole Inn owner Beth Colt, who lead the staff selection of winners. Cheryl will receive a $100 Woods Hole Inn gift certificate.
The winner of the “audience favorite” with the most votes from our website is guest Jenn English of Wakefield, MA, whose creative idea was to pose as an alien on the moon. Jenn will receive a free night at the Woods Hole Inn plus lobster tacos for two at the Inn’s out-of-this-world restaurant, Quicks Hole.
