A sunny start for the weekend in Clarksville

A very nice day is expected for the Clarksville area today as high pressure remains in control. Mostly sunny skies are expected throughout the day today and temperatures are going to be warm, in the middle to upper sixties. Breezy conditions will develop tonight as clouds move in ahead of the next system to move through the region tomorrow afternoon. Showers are expected to begin to fall Sunday afternoon and last through the night. Some of the rain is expected to be heavy at times and a few thunderstorms can not be ruled out. An inch to two inches of rain is currently expected with this system as it moves through and all the precipitation is expected to end by Monday morning. Temperatures will be back to near normal, in the lower fifties, for the upcoming workweek as partly sunny skies are expected.
