A successful USA Sevens pep rally at Miracle Mile Shops (Photos)

It was a festive atmosphere in front of the Miracle Mile Shops on Wednesday, Feb. 6, when the shops held a pep rally for the USA Eagles, priming them for competition in the 2013 USA Sevens international rugby tournament that starts today and runs through the Feb. 10.

At 10:30 the music began and PBR Rock Bar & Grill served light bites to the crowd. The rally kicked off just after 11 a.m. with a performance by the USA Sevens cheerleaders and opening remarks from Wendy Albert, the director of marketing for the mile-long shopping arena located in Planet Hollywood.

In attendance were Head Coach Alexander Magleby and members of the USA Eagles, including rising star Carlin Isles.

Las Vegas’ Arbor View High School Drum Line performed and students from Glen Taylor Elementary School sang “Let’s Keep America Great” and “Let the Games Begin.”

Over the next three days, Feb. 8-10, 16 international rugby teams will play at Sam Boyd Stadium. Fans can stay updated on the latest USA Sevens Rugby news, events and details by following on Facebook (USA Sevens Rugby Tournament And Festival) and Twitter (@USASevensRugby).
