Wide receiver Jacoby Jones of the Baltimore Ravens has made sports news headlines with a story that has all of the ingredients of a great soap opera segment. ESPN reported on Sept. 23, 2013, "Jacoby Jones in party bus fight." Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh has confirmed a report from TMZ that wide receiver Jacoby Jones was involved in a brawl on a party bus early Monday morning and that he was hurt when he was hit over the head by a stripper swinging a champagne bottle.

Jones is said to be doing fine now. Harbaugh meanwhile has expressed his disappointment with the incident and appears to want to leave it behind him and the Ravens. The police responded to the incident shortly after 3 a.m. ET and Jones refused medical treatment. Sports Illustrated has reported, "Ravens WR Jacoby Jones injured by stripper in party bus brawl." At the time of this incident Jones was celebrating the birthday of Ravens offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie. on board a party bus in Washington, D.C.

Sometime during the party a stripper named Sweet Pea hit Jones over the head with a bottle of Ace of Spades champagne. Jones was bleeding for awhile from this. Nobody seems to know for sure why Sweet Pea attacked Jones. Well, it's an old story that men often pay a price for following their instincts by attending such events, and so at least Jones is doing well now.
