Summer was upon us and it was now eight months since this beautiful little girl blessed our lives. Each day was a new adventure for her and she was beginning to smile and laugh and enjoy life.
We decided on a trip to Cape May, New Jersey to visit our favorite dog friendly beach, Sunset Beach. In her little pink bandana with her BFF 'sister', we headed to the shore.
Taking an early morning walk around the beautiful little town of Cape May, she loved the new smells and new sights and was smiling from ear to ear. It was obvious that this little girl was finally able to relax and embrace her new life.
In the late morning we headed to Sunset Beach where all dogs are welcome. What a wonderful experience it was! We didn't know how she would react to the ocean and the sand and the seashells, but what we saw melted our hearts. Our little girl ran toward the beach and suddenly stopped putting her head high in the air, closing her eyes and embracing the moment. We watched her take in this new experience. A few moments passed and she turned toward us and began to run down the beach with her little bandana flying in the breeze and her smile as big as her heart.
