The Exploratorium is celebrating the arts and artists who have played an integral role in shaping the Exploratorium since they were founded in 1969. Especially artists who are at the crossroads of art, science, innovation, and technology. On May 15th the Exploratorium will be closed to prepare for this extravaganza where you will be able to discover some of the Exploratorium's featured artists, delve into large scale environments, view with awe some dynamic performances, and maybe stimulate some of your own creativity as the Exploratorium dedicates it's Spring Gala Event to celebrating the Arts.

The event is for adults only, 21 and older, please, and is at Pier 15, the nearly new location. Unfortunately the cocktails at 6:00PM, and the dinner at 7:00PM are sold out, but you can still find tickets for the 'After Party' beginning at 9:00PM and continues until midnight. Tickets are $100.00 for Lab Members, and $150.00 for general admission. A little steeper than usual, but it's for a good cause, and you'll enjoy dancing, cocktails, entrance to special art exhibitions and a few surprises.

This is a marvelous way to make it up to mom if you had to work that day, had to celebrate with your spouse's mom, or couldn't get it together to celebrate with your wife. Sounds like a pretty romantic evening! Be sure to check it out!

You can call them at 415 528 4444. To find out a little more, go to and click on 5/15 Spring Gala.
