Tickets for most shows are $18 per person. The Jan. 20 show tickets, meanwhile, are $9 per person. All tickets can be purchased at the Kentucky Center box office, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the box office at 1-800-775-7777.

The path from child to adult is never an easy one, but in Spring Awakening kids from 19th Century attempt to figure it out. Wendla wonders where babies come from and asks her mother about the subject. Meanwhile, Melchior, a bright young man, tries to explain the subject to Moritz, but Moritz's stress about puberty keeps him from thinking about anything else.

Ultimately, exploration, confusion, and hormones set in against a backdrop of ignorance and repression from the society of the times.

All proceeds Kids Acting Against Cancer collects from this show will go towards the oncology ward at Kosair Children's Hospital. The goal is to provide the hospital ward with enough money to obtain medical equipment and amenities to help children be more comfortable as they handle inpatient treatment.

Since the group's beginnings in a basement in 1999, Kids Acting Against Cancer has raised more than $300,000 for various groups aims at fighting cancer. More information on the group and ways to donate can be found at the theatre company's website.
