A special weekend message from Michelle at Good Mews

Michelle from Good Mews Animal Foundation has a special message that she posted on the Good Mews Facebook page earlier today:

“Happy weekend, friends! It's going to be beautiful and I'm enjoying the sunshine outside the shelter window. My name is Michelle and I'm a featured cat for March. I've lived at Good Mews for three years, ever since some kind people found me at Lake Lanier about to have babies. I also had an injury to my eye so Good Mews paid for the surgery to remove it. My kids, Kiwi and Iggy, live here, too. We're all a little timid, but we would still love our own homes and families. There's someone for everyone, right? Come by this weekend - can't wait to meet you!”

The following is some additional information about Michelle from the Good Mews website:

“Michelle is a beautiful, sweet-natured torbie rescued from Lake Lanier last year. She had a congenital defect in her left eye, but had surgery to remove the eye while in foster care and has completely recovered.

She is very friendly with other cats and loves people, but it takes a while to earn her trust. She is extremely playful and loves to be petted – especially on her back and tail - but does not like to be picked up or held. She adores her kittens, Iggy, Kiwi, and Boomer (born last May) and loves to play with them. She would love to be adopted with one of them, especially Iggy, but gets along exceptionally well with other cats and would make an excellent companion for a young cat or kitten. She cannot be the only cat in the household.

A generous donor has paid for Michelle’s adoption fee!!”
