Hello! My name is Kazi and I am the new kitchen manager. I like to sit on high shelves and watch the staff and volunteers work. If they start goofing off, I will push something off the shelf and let it knock them in the head. Hahahaha . . . not really! I am still new, so I haven’t gotten too bossy yet! But I am watching!
So I wanted to give you an update on the flea market’s first weekend: it was awesome!! Lots of people came out to shop on opening day. They wanted to make sure they got the best items! But it stayed steady all weekend and so far we have raised $25k!! How cool is that? It is a great start, but we hope to quadruple that amount by the end of the sale. And don’t worry, if you missed opening weekend, you did not miss out on the best items. We will have new items every single weekend! So please continue to donate. We will be accepting donations till May 10th. We also have a super yummy bake sale. I am hoping they will let me off for a couple hours on Saturday so I can go buy a few brownies and cookies!
So stop by this weekend! And spread the word!

About Good Mews Animal Foundation
Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed over 7,000 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
