A special message from Licorice and Pixie at Good Mews

Licorice and Pixie from Good Mews Animal Foundation have a special message that they posted on the Good Mews Facebook page earlier today:

Happy February from Licorice and my sister, Pixie! Good Mews is having a ‘love bird’ special this month and all mandatory pairs have a reduced adoption fee of $114! So you know what that means, right? Pixie and I have a reduced fee! We love each other, so we are a mandatory pair. Some people wonder why we must be adopted together because we are not always seen hanging out. Well, when you go to a party or gathering with your partner, are you glued to each other’s side? No, and that doesn’t mean you don’t love each other. Just like with me and Pixie. We feel comforted just knowing the other is close by.

We do have different personalities. I am super outgoing and love to mingle with the cats and people. Pixie is a little more nervous in social settings but she is still a great kitty. Shelter life just isn’t for her. She would feel so much better in a quiet home, which is what we are used to. She used to hiss at people, but I told her she may want to chill out a little so she has learned to relax more. She will now come out on adoption days and let some people pet her and she will rub on them. Good girl!

Now we are hoping we will be adopted this month. So remember, mandatory pairs have a reduced fee of $114 or make a pair of your own for $125. And we go home with a cool goody-bag! So come by this weekend, OK?

About Good Mews Animal Foundation

Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed almost 7,000 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
