Hey there . . . it is me, Cheeks. How are you? I am doing great! Want to know why? Because my friend Mindy and I are the featured cats for June! How awesome is that? Mindy was nice enough to keep it a secret until I got a chance to announce it. She is such a good friend.
We are the featured cats because nobody will adopt us. So many people come in and meet us and say they like us a lot, but then they hear we are on a special diet because of diarrhea, and then they don’t want us. That is so weird. You don’t want someone because they have to eat special food? Oh well..I am sure there is someone out there that will be OK with it. We just have to be patient and wait for that special person to come.
So I am a really friendly guy. I love everyone!! I get along with cats and I especially love people. My favorite thing to do is ride on people’s shoulders. Don’t you want a cat that will sit on your shoulder? Wouldn’t that be cool to have some company while you cook, clean the house, do laundry….? I could just hang out on your shoulder while you work. I also love to play hard and when I am done, I will snuggle with a kitty pal or my favorite person and take a nap.
I really am a nice guy so will you consider me if you are going to adopt soon? I don’t have to be adopted with Mindy, but she is a good friend so I would love to have a home with her. We are both super awesome cats that will make you very happy. So come by and visit, OK? Oh yea . . . our adoption fee has been paid for by a generous donor. How cool is that??

Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed over 7,000 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
