Callie from Good Mews Animal Foundation has a special message that she posted on the Good Mews Facebook page earlier this week:
“Hi . . . my name is Callie and I am another young mother-to be. I would like to start off by thanking all of Good Mews’ supporters and volunteers. If it weren’t for you, I would not be in a safe, loving foster home.
I am from Americus, and since no rescues go there to pull cats, I was going to be euthanized. The staff called Good Mews’ shelter manager and asked if she could please save me and my babies. Thankfully she said yes! I was so relieved when they told me I would be leaving.
Now my babies and I will have a chance to find a loving home. I was so grateful when I arrived at my foster home I rubbed all over my foster mommy and told her how happy I was to be safe. My babies will arrive in 2-3 weeks, so I will give you an update on them when they are here!”

About Good Mews Animal Foundation
Good Mews is a cage-free, no-kill cat shelter offering an alternative to traditional animal shelters in the Metro Atlanta area. They provide a safe haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats until they can be placed in permanent, loving homes. Since 1988, Good Mews has placed over 6,700 cats in forever homes. The shelter receives no government support and relies solely on donations of time, services, goods and money from its many supporters and local businesses. Good Mews is home to approximately 100 residents on any given day – most of whom reside at the Shelter in Marietta, with some cats residing in foster homes.
