Happy October from Cajun! Wow . . . there is a lot going on this month, but I think I will just talk about ME!
Good Mews is having an awesome fall adoption special for black, orange, tortie and calico kitties. Because I am black, I am part of the special! My adoption fee will be $31.13 and I go home with a goody-bag!
And in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I am the featured cat! We wanted to spread the word about Ahimsa House, a wonderful organization dedicated to helping human and animal victims of domestic violence. My mommy was a victim of domestic violence and thankfully was able to get out of the situation with the help of Ahimsa House. But sadly she was unable to take me back, so I was boarded for a couple of months, and then fostered. When a new home could not be found for me, I was able to come to Good Mews. Now I am hoping October will be my lucky month and I will find a safe, loving home. I am a really nice guy. I love people, get along with other cats, and love to play! So please consider me if you are looking for a new family member.
Also check out Ahimsa House’s website and read about all of the great things they do for people and animals!
Cajun is a one-year old black male domestic short hair kitty and is available for adoption. The following is some additional information about Cajun from the Good Mews website:
Cajun has a face that will melt your heart! He is so adorable and friendly and such a joy to hang out with. He is outgoing and loves to be petted. And he does not meow, he ‘chirps’. It is really cute!
Cajun is such a sweet cat, but he used to live in a scary home. His guardian was a victim of domestic violence. When she got out of the situation, Cajun went to Ahimsa House, which helps the pets of domestic violence victims. Unfortunately, Cajun’s person was unable to take him back, so he was boarded at a vet’s office for two months, and then went to a foster home. Ahimsa is such a wonderful organization and we help them when we can. So when they contacted us, we said we would be happy to have Cajun and find him a new loving home.
Cajun is such a happy, go-lucky guy, so we hope it will not take him long to find a home. Cajun would do fine as a single cat, but he would also do great with other feline friends.
