One of the greatest needs for animal rescue groups is temporary foster homes. Many groups don’t have a shelter and rely on their network of foster homes to care for the animal until it finds its forever home. Organizations that do have shelters frequently need foster homes for very young kittens or puppies and special needs animals or when their shelter is full. From time to time I will feature pets in the metro Atlanta area that need a foster home. One of the current “foster pet” needs is Rerun from Furkids. Rerun is on a special diet and Furkids will provide the food. Here is more about Rerun from the Furkids’ Facebook page:

I am a beautiful long haired black and grey smoke kitty! 2011 was the best year of my nine lives as I was rescued from Henry County Animal Control during Thanksgiving. I was one of sixteen rescues, and I am very reserved and laid back! I am really affectionate, love to be brushed, and I will lick you gently if you offer your hand. I get along with people and cats and am well loved by the entire Furkids’ staff.
