A ‘spa-quality’ lipstick brand? Check out Bite Beauty!

Bite Beauty is one of my favorite natural lipstick brands, and I am all about finding the best natural lip products available. I am also all for products that have added benefits, other than putting bright color on one’s pout, just by simply wearing it! I am going ahead and calling Bite Beauty’s products ‘spa-quality’. Why is that?
Bite Beauty innovatively created lipsticks, lip pencils, lip glosses and other wonderful lip care products that contain resveratrol and only natural and organic ingredients. Resveratrol is an antioxidant found in wine that is super healthy and fights aging. Wearing this moisturizing and healthy lipstick is literally like getting a facial on your lips, but without going to the spa to get it!
Over the last few years Bite Beauty’s innovative formula has become somewhat of a standard lip product among makeup artists, creating a bit of healthy competition between Bite Beauty and chemical-rich lipstick brands like MAC, Guerlain, Makeup Forever, Estee Lauder, and Dior, to name just a few. It still surprises me, however, that most women still buy these brands (listed above), when there are so many better, healthier and more natural options out there. Articles like the one via the link below scare me a bit because we are still consistently seeing top-10 lists of most popular brands – and some of the lists ONLY contain brands that use carcinogenic ingredients in their formulas. The article below contains a list with only companies that I would never wear on my lips again, after researching what is really inside these lipsticks. Copy the list from the article and use it as a reminder of what NOT to wear:

The only set-back to Bite Beauty’s products is that they are offered exclusively at Sephora, and also have a hefty price tag. But if you are going to spend over $20 on MAC, Dior or Chanel lipsticks, give Bite Beauty a try and see for yourself how lovely, creamy and pigmented these Bite Beauty products are. They are long-lasting and the pigment is so beautiful and vibrant. They have all sorts of colors to choose from too - from subtle nudes, to lively fuchsias, to energetic oranges! Another great way to try Bite Beauty products on a budget is to purchase their value lip sets, which are smaller “portions” of their lip products for a super affordable price. Check out the “lip sets” section (via the link below) on Sephora’s website to see what is currently available. I have heard that December’s holiday season is the best time to get super deals on Bite Beauty’s lip products at Sephora:

Now, let’s get down to the color I have on in the slideshow photos. I am wearing Bite Beauty’s high pigment lip pencil in “rhubarb”. It is a beautiful, deep and rich plum color, with some pink and brown undertones. It has a nice, subtle shine to it, although these pencils are labeled as “matte”. It is definitely more matte than some of my other favorite lip products, like Silk Naturals’ lipstick, but I wouldn’t call it a true matte. It’s a very creamy formula, and you can actually see the creamy texture in the photos very well. These were taken in natural day light, so I find color in the pictures very true to life. Some may find that the Bite Beauty products tend to bleed a little bit, because of their creamy, moisturizing texture, so it may be a good idea to use a lip liner. I have found that I don’t need a lip liner with the lip pencils, but I do like to use a liner with the Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick (Stay tuned for a review of this formula as well!).
