A slimmer Jennie Garth shares exclusive weight loss tips with 'Health' magazine (Video)

In recent times, if someone has bounced back after a rough year it is the 40-year old actress Jennie Garth. A stunning and slimmer Garth graced the cover of “Health” magazine and talked about positivity and losing weight, reports Us on Jan. 3.

2012 was in no way easy for Garth. Former “Beverly Hills, 90210” star and mother of three, found herself alone after the much-talked-about split with husband of 11 years, Peter Facinelli.

However, the breakup has in no way shattered the actress. Rather than moping in grief, the fighter believed in herself and lost 30 pounds since the breakup.

Garth considers the split a “huge wakeup call.” She became focused and disciplined with her exercise regime, which consists of weight training and cardio like boxing and kickboxing. Her exclusive fitness tip includes, "I really never sit down! I think that's basically the secret -- not sitting around."

Although the weight loss program started off with fad diets, she feels sorry "for putting her body through these diets." Although she lost the initial weight, it came right back. According to her the key to weight loss and keeping it off is all about making “healthy choices."

Believing in staying positive, Garth says that she changed her complete outlook towards life. She says, "There's no room for negative self talk. None. Just ban it from your vocabulary." Garth follows it up by saying, "Looks aren't important to me anymore…I like positive energy."
