A single, a video, and a party for Fritz Montana

Last week, bay area indie/blues rock princes, Fritz Montana, pumped out their latest from their forthcoming effort. “Let You Down” comes off the “Scaredy Cat” E.P., the act’s second recording, due out next week.

Smacking of retro rockers like The Black Keys, The White Stripes and Cage the Elephant, the trio of David Marshall (Guitar// Vocals, Kevin Logan (Bass), Matthew Hagarty wields (Drums) tout a crisp fuzziness, relying on distorted vocals, thick baselines and almost slow-paced disco percussion. Swankiness wins the day on the 3:11 track chart, with unmistakable swagger and a golden-toothed grin leading the band’s seductive qualities.

Inevitably, FM reeks of a party - and that’s just what they’ll do.

Rickshaw Stop (155 Fell St, San Francisco, California 941020) will host Fritz Montana as they hold their E.P. release show next Saturday (July 26th). In support, L.A.s The Peach Kings and San Francisco’s Vandella will fill out the evening’s bill with their continued retro-rock influence sounds.

The all-ages soiree begins at 9 pm, with admission costing $10 in advance $13 at the door. Visit Ticketfly for more show info.
