2013 is here. Will you let this year pass by (you know it will be very quick) without taking your business to the next level?
Forget making "take my business to the next level" as a New Year's resolution. From a quick figure...... "Out of the 45% of Americans who usually make New Year's resolutions, only about 8% are successful in actually following through with them." (University of Scranton, Journal of Clinical Psychology. 2012)
Are you ready to take your business to the next level? If you answered yes, what steps need to be taken? One can't just say I am taking my business to the next level without actually knowing the steps or the direction that needs to be taken to achieve this goal.
If you follow my writings, you have seen this before but I will say it again because it has had a huge impact on my goals over the past couple of years as I heard it from a mentor of mine, Jay Kubassek.
"Think about the big goal that you want to accomplish in your business. Now work your way backwards on steps that need to be taken to meet that big goal by making smaller goals. Reward yourself for the small goals as they lead you closer to achieving the big goal that you have put into place"
I have heard people say, "That takes too much time" or "I don't think I really need to do that."
If you don't have a direct path to follow and try to stay focused on, what else do you have. With the fast-paced lives that we have these days we all fall short and we need something to help us stay focused. By having small goals that lead us to the big goal in picture, we will get there so much faster.
So... Right now I encourage you to take some time and make these goals for your business. Write them down somewhere and look at them everyday when you get up and every night before you go to sleep. Keep them fresh on your mind and push towards the mark.
