A shift in Late Night TV begins tonight

Tonight, after nearly ten years on the air, Jimmy Kimmel is finally moving into the prime late night time slot of 11:35e/10:35c.

For years, ABC has held Kimmel at bay, pushing his show back behind newsmagazine "Nightline," with a start time of 12 or 12:05am.

As soon as Kimmel announced his move, NBC jumped in with the proclamation that "The Tonight Show starring Jay Leno" will now air beginning at 11:34pm.
