Several clippers will slide across the Great Lakes producing snow into early next week. We have one producing roughly and additional 2-4 inches of snow for the first half of Saturday. Another clipper will bring an additional 3-5 inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday morning and a third disturbance with another 1-3 inches for Sunday night into Monday morning.
The heavy snow impacting West Michigan Saturday morning will diminish this afternoon.
The Grand Rapids National Weather Service has issued a Lake Effect Snow Warning for Mason, Oceana, Muskegon, Newaygo, Ionia, Ottawa, Allegan, Barry, Van Buren, and Kent counties until 1 PM Saturday. They also issued a Lake Effect Snow Advisory for Lake, Mecosta, Montcalm, Clinton, and Jackson counties until 1 PM Saturday.
Flooding remains a problem for much of West Michigan, both from the heavy rain and recent ice jams on area rivers.
See the slideshow on the left for a few forecast weather maps for the snow.
