There is a reason why there is increasing contention the world over. One can observe what is going on from country to country, religion to religion, political party to political party and even from within the denomination of many churches….there is a separation taking place.http://www.examiner.com/article/the-god-gap-showing-up-party-affiliations-of-gop-and-dems?cid=db_articles
The age old battle between light and darkness, good and evil, and the spiritual authority that is associated with such is relentlessly taking place due to the fact that the spirit of the anti-Christ is at work as predicted in the Bible.
In Matthew 10:24 Jesus speaks this ominous warning, “Think not that I am come to send peace on Earth. I came not to send peace, but a sword”.
To correctly understand what Jesus was referring, one needs to be spiritually in tune to other scriptures that will elaborate what Christ was talking about. Jesus being the “Living Word” requires one to “rightly divide” Matthew 10:24 with another scripture to discern what Jesus was talking about.
In Hebrews 4:12 Paul’s writing states, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart”.
One is required to utilized the “out of two or more witnesses let every word be established” as a basis for correctly presenting God’s truth. Jesus was not articulating about conflict concerning His sword in Matthew 10:24, but the word of God. Ephesians 6:17 solidifies this analogy by declaring, “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”.
Clearly Jesus was not talking about the warfare with weapons, but His word separating the righteous and unrighteous people based on word of God. There would be no peace during the closing chapters of human history and the turmoil being manifested in all human venues is the result of this ongoing separation of light from darkness taking place.
This animosity is being shown even in America which is one of the last bastions of freedom based on our founding fathers desire to worship God without restriction. There is a spirit of the anti-Christ at work manufacturing lies, deceptions, and denial about the very foundations of this country.
What is the best indicator of this spiritual train wreck taking place? It is rather pointless to elaborate on the conflicts between countries, religions, races, or classes of people. Political parties are becoming more and more combative because of spiritual differences. However what really defines how much separation is taking place is to inspect the division taking place in Christian churches, within the very denominations.
God is not the Author of confusion and the split taking place on issues as abortion, marriage, Israel, or divorce is dividing congregations right down the middle. One can begin to fully appreciate why Jesus warned, “Do not be deceived”.
The Bible in 1 Peter 4:17 declares,
“For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?”
House cleaning will begin in God’s church as Revelation clearly stipulates God’s judgment on the representative seven churches which display attributes that are pleasing or rejected by God. How this process will work as either a rebuke to those in rebellion to God’s word or a blessing depends on pre-tribulation, mid-tribulation, or post-tribulation concepts. One can also squeeze in pre-wrath as a possibility.http://christianity.about.com/od/faqhelpdesk/f/thetribulation.htm
The Rapture of the faithful church will probably be a precursor for closing the chapter of the dispensation of grace since God must address Israel. Once the church is Raptured, then God will turn His attention to Israel.
As the Holy Spirit and true believers are removed, the restraint of evil being removed will usher in tribulation that the world has never seen. In actual execution of righteousness, the Rapture of the church will validate who is or who is not doing the will of God. Therefore it should not be an unforeseen happening that there is a separation taking place within the very walls of denominations.
As Jesus stated, there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
