While Xbox 360 owners have enjoyed many texture packs for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition, the recently released PS3 version of the popular sandbox title has yet to receive many of the add-ons as 4J Studios must now work to port the various DLC packs to the Playstation 3. However, the developer confirmed on Jan 16 that they are currently testing a new texture pack that will be released for Minecraft: PS3 Edition.

No further details were revealed as to what the secret texture pack that is being worked on is. 4J Studios could be testing texture packs that were previously released on the Xbox 360 version of Minecraft, such as the Natural or Plastic packs, but it is also entirely possible that the developer is working on an all-new project for the upcoming PS3 texture pack.

Minecraft: PS3 Edition is now available as a digital download from the Playstation Store. 4J Studios has previously stated that the game will slowly receive the content that is found on the Xbox 360 version of the game over time. The developer recently submitted a patch for certification that will hopefully fix several game bugs including save file corruption.
