After the success of the Music of Engineering concert last week, there is talk for a second concert along the same lines, featuring the musical talents of WSU College of Engineering staff, faculty and students. But it will almost certainly have to be next year, as things at the college are getting rather hectic preparing for final exams and the Order of the Engineer celebration.
All the performers at the concert last week played beautifully and were well-received by the Audience, and are thus welcome to perform at the next concert. However, it is hoped that all departments of the college will be represented in the sequel, since electrical engineering was over-represented (accounting for a majority of the performers), while biomedical engineering was not represented at all.
There is no word at this point on whether or not a sequel would also be prefaced by a lecture series on acoustical engineering topics as the first concert was. It also remains to be decided whether the second concert would take place in the winter (January to April) or fall (September to December) semester.
