The day started off with sunshine, but as we reached our convective temperature(the approximate temperature that the surface must warm to in order for clouds to develop) we were mostly cloudy thanks to the thick fair weather cumulus. We stayed dry however and managed to reach 69 at Philly International Airport.
Overnight the clouds stick around with lows around 50 as the cold front that pushed offshore is advecting some clouds northward; they are gone by the morning and we'll have sunshine through most of the day with highs in the upper 60s. The wind will shift from the west to a more southerly direction in the afternoon so it will be cooler at the shore thanks to the ocean just being in the upper 40s.
Come Sunday sunshine will give way to clouds, but rain should hold off until after sunset as highs reach 70. Overnight rain will make way to clearing by Monday morning, and this will leave us with a sunny afternoon as highs will be in the lower 60s. Come Tuesday a short wave does down from the Great Lakes so southern areas may see some rain in the afternoon with highs in the middle 60s.
