A school built with love

Dream One World, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Santa Rosa, CA, has broken ground on an elementary school and living compound for orphans in Kasenge, Uganda. The site will become a sanctuary for hundreds of children orphaned from AIDS, Death Row, and rebel activities. In Uganda, when a child is orphaned, they are forced to leave school, simply because they cannot pay the school fees. Sadly, they often turn to prostitution and/or drugs in order to survive and take care of their younger brothers and sisters.

The Dream One World Centre for Education in Uganda is being built entirely by volunteers. As Dream One World's Founder, Director, and CED (Chief Executive Dreamer!), Kathy Chism says, "This is a school being built with love, for love, by love."

Dream One World helps people, places, and animals that have difficulty finding help elsewhere. Created with a "Pay It Forward" theme, in the six years since its creation people (and animals) have been assisted in Peru, the Philippines, the Bahamas, throughout the United States, and now, Uganda.
