A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe- Jan 10th-Feb 4th

Hello, Everybody!

The lights are set to spotlight the opening act, the house is full and a show full of fun and excitement will entertain guests. Raise the curtain for A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe is going to arrive to Disneyland for a limited time! According to the Disney Parks Blog, “Inspired by the world-famous Frontierland show enjoyed by Walt Disney himself, “A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue” will be homage to those fun-filled, family-friendly musical variety shows of the past.” Reserve a seat, gab a bowl of chili and listen to favorites such as “Belly Up to the Bar” and “A Good Man is Hard to Find.”

The Golden Horseshoe Revue has a long history with Disneyland Park. It was first shown at the Golden Horseshoe Stage on July 17th 1955. The Revue was such an entertaining and popular performance that it ran from 1955 until 1986. That is over 39,000 shows! The Golden Horseshoe Revue featured talents such as the clown prince of Hollywood Wally Boag as Pecos Bill (the roughest, toughest critter), Betty Taylor as his sweetheart Sluefoot Sue, Donald Novis, Fulton Burley and other brilliant performers. After 1986, there would be other shows at the Golden Horseshoe Stage such as the Golden Horseshoe Jamboree Show and the Golden Horseshoe Variety Show. However, as a tribute to the past A Salute to the Golden Horseshoe Revue will bring a nostalgic and fun experience.
