A's expanded 2014 Fan Fest set for Feb. 8

As 2014 officially kicks off, the MLB season is only a few months away, and the Oakland A's are prepping this year's FanFest, which will take place on Feb. 8.

This year however, the defending AL West champs are expanding the event to include both the Coliseum and Oracle Arena.

“We are thrilled to give our fans and our back-to-back AL West champs the chance to interact as we get ready for another exciting season,” said Jim Leahey, A’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “Using both venues will allow us to take advantage of the strengths of each, and enable us to provide a great experience for more fans.”

Tickets to A’s FanFest, will go on sale on Jan. 9 and will be $10 a pop and can be purchased through The event is expected to sell out and fans are encouraged to buy tickets early. For children six and under, admission will be free, as will parking.

A’s FanFest will feature free autograph sessions with current and former A’s players, including Josh Donaldson, Sean Doolittle and Sonny Gray, among others, as well as photo opportunities with players and the A’s four World Series trophies. Tours of the A’s clubhouse, the Comcast SportsNet sportscaster experience, the first opportunity to sign up for the 2014 A’s Kids Club and a memorabilia sale will also take place, with each of these events taking place at the coliseum. The event begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m.

A’s legends from both the ’74 and ’89 World Series teams are expected to attend A’s FanFest as well.
