A's announce 2013 Fan Fest forJan. 27 at Oracle Arena

With the new season only a few months away, the Oakland A's have finally announce the date and details about the 2013 Fan Fest.

The event will take place on Jan. 27 at Oracle Arena, and will run from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with team members Yoenis Cespedes, Grant Balfour and Cocoa Crisp all confirmed to be in attendance, alongside club manager Bob Melvin. Fans will be able to partake in free autograph sessions, and a Q&A session with the aforementioned players.

“We are thrilled to give our fans the chance to welcome back the 2012 AL West Division Champions,” said Jim Leahey, A’s vice president of sales and marketing. “The Oracle Arena will provide a wonderful environment in which fans will have special access to current players as well as legends from our 1973 team.”

The team also announced that they will have in-season celebrations commemorating the 1973 World Series Championship with a Reggie Jackson bobblehead night on April 27. Sal Bando , Bill North and Ray Fosse will also be at the Fan Fest.

Tickets to the A's Fan Fest are priced at $10 for the general public and $5 for current ticket holders who put down a deposit for the 2013 season. Children 6 years and under will be admitted free and tickets will go on sale this Friday at http://www.oaklandathletics.com/fanfest. Parking will be free for all fans.

During the festivities, fans will also be able to purchase individual game tickets at the Coliseum box office, by phone at 877-493-BALL (2255) or on the team's official website.
