A Royal Wedding

See also

The bunting and street parties are being prepared and will soon be spread across many streets in the UK.

In less than 2 weeks, the Royal couple, HRH Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton, will wed in Westminster Abbey. Although there is probably more hype in America over the affair, the British are gearing up for the event.

Will and Kate, as they are commonly called, will say their vows around 11am on the 29th, and in addition to the televison broadcast, speakers will relay the service via audio along their travel route to and from Buckingham Palace.

It was in the 1920's that the very first Royal Wedding was televised. This wedding will be no exception. And if you don't want to watch it, you can just follow it on Twitter (@wabbey).

The official sites for information about the wedding are below. I'll be somewhere along the route, hoping to catch a glimpse of the future King and Queen of England.
