According to ComicBook.com on Oct. 31, director of possible "Deadpool" movie is likely to get the green light for the film and even Ryan Reynolds had indicated about a week ago that things were moving in that direction. "Zombieland" writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese are on board in their involvement with the script writing.
The "Deadpool" movie is even getting closer to being "green lighted" as opposed to what it was two weeks prior. Ryan Reynolds played the wisecracking character in the hit movie "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" which had later posed a serious adversary at the end of the film as the renamed Weapon X.
At this point, the film is being presented with a possible R rating and thus could be a difficult move to pull off as a stand alone film, but there seems to be confidence that this could be pulled off with a lower budget without losing the essence of the Deadpool character.
The situation seems promising and director Tim Miller passionately expounds upon his and the rest of the crews passion for developing this film.
“We will never give up! Deadpool is still alive and we’re just waiting for the studio to embrace what an amazingly ***ing awesome film this would be. Ryan is ready, I am ready, the fans are MORE than ready—we just need that elusive green light!".
