Almost all of us have heard of online cyber bullying and other forms of online abuse. The attached video mentions the website Public Shaming that re-posts some of the most shameful examples. The Examiner recently posted an article on a US map of Twitter hate speech. There are other examples of possible abuse that thankfully do not go that far. Twitter has a mechanism - or process - for reporting "targeted abuse". This story is about targeted abuse (abusive user section) that took place on or about Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 and earlier.
The following is a list of some of the abusive (language) tweets found on Oct. 12, 2013 and before. They have been edited to reduce the offensive content and to protect the innocent.
"@NotOnTwtr hey p*ssy. U are a super do*che bag 4 blockin 4 a different point of view. Ura b*tch dem. So go f*ck urself u p*ssy! Ur blocked".
The poster of the above tweet used a second account (according to another post) to post the following:
"@NotOnTwtr obamavoterfraud.blogspot.com/?m=1. How did obuttho get 104% voter turnout in co? He cheated! So ur cheater is better?"
Apparently some of the abusive tweets have (somehow?) been removed - from both Twitter and Outlook. Here are some other examples of abuse directed to other twitter accounts unnamed here:
"ur nails look like hubcaps on a garbage truck! How much u weigh like at least 300lbs. U stupid fat b*itch."
"could your neck be any fatter? It looks like your neck is eating ur head! U racist b*tch! U couldnt look dumber on national tv."
"ur the dumbest woman ever! U hate white people, cant speak english, & freely abuse “ret*rded people!” Every1 laughs at u n US!"
"ya thats how we found u racist pieces of sh*t! All of u r worse racists then any white i have met ever."
The remaining tweets from the abusive tweeter are so offensive as not to be repeated here. At one point the abuser used the term "libtard" which has many definitions. But it is a conflation of liberal and the politically incorrect and extremely offensive term "r*t*rd." That is quite enough about a recent experience with alleged targeted abuse on Twitter. It is now apparent that a Twitter IPO is needed if that sort of posting on Twitter is its "future".
