A Real Uncle Tom on tea party radio

David Webb says that some people accuse him of being an Uncle Tom because he is a black man, a conservative, and a Tea Party supporter.

But during his show this past Saturday, December 3rd, David Webb said that this was the first time a real Uncle Tom had ever appeared on his show, The David Webb Show.

Webb opened his December 3, 2011 broadcast with a conversation with Todd Starnes, from Fox News Radio, about the Pentagon’s decision to rescind a policy banning Bibles at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Then at 10:14 AM, David Webb introduced the first real Uncle Tom to ever appear on his show.

It was his real Uncle Tom. His dad’s brother Tom, and the two of them talked about the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund’s National Call for Photos, a campaign to collect a photograph for each of the 58,272 men and women whose names are inscribed on Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington.

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund recently announced plans for building the Education Center at The Wall, an underground facility near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to help visitors discover the stories of those whose names are inscribed on The Wall.

According to their website, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund currently has no photos for 35,000 of the 58,272 of the men and women whose names are on The Wall. That means there are no photos for 60% of the names inscribed on The Wall.

David Webb and his Uncle Tom don’t see eye to eye on many political issues, but they are both big supporters of Veterans issues, and huge supporters of Vietnam Veterans nationwide.

David’s Dad, Joe Mangan, was an infantryman in the Mekong Delta during the Tet Offensive, and David’s Uncle Tom flew combat missions in Laos and Vietnam. So David and his Uncle Tom have a bond that can’t be broken by political differences.

You can hear The David Webb Show on Saturdays from 10AM to1 PM (Replay 7 PM to 10 P) ET on SiriusXM Patriot 125 Satellite Radio.

According to the SiriusXM Patriot, Conservative Talk website:
