Frederick Law Olmstead Gala – Friday, September 5th at 6 p.m. at the Parkside Lodge in Delaware Park. This year’s theme is “Emerald City,” and will feature the music of Lance Diamond along with cocktails, dinner and a live auction. This event honors Robert Shibley and Lynda Schneekloth for their stewardship of the Olmstead landscape in Buffalo. Tickets are $175 and are available at

echo Art Fair – Saturday and Sunday, September 6th and 7th at the Downtown Central Library. The fair will showcase many different types of media, including painting, photography, sculpture, print, works on paper, video and mixed media. Taste of East Aurora – Saturday, September 13th on Main St. in East Aurora. More than two dozen restaurants will be featured at this third-annual event, running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Find out more about the event on its Facebook page.

Great Pumpkin Farm – opening for the season on Saturday, September 13th, the Great Pumpkin Farm, located at 11199 Main St. in Clarence, is hosting a free preview weekend September 13th and 14th (certain activities will have a small fee).
