Inaugural Cherry Blossom Festival –through May 4th at the Japanese Garden in Delaware Park, located behind the Buffalo History Museum. The festival will feature entertainment, cultural presentations and activities, most of which will be free and open to the public. Events include a Japanese tea ceremony, Japanese food demonstration and sake tasting, an orienteering event and Family Day at the Buffalo History Museum. Kentucky Derby Spring Hat Luncheon and Fashion Show – Saturday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. at the buffalo Niagara Heritage Museum, 3755 Tonawanda Creek Rd. in Amherst. Event will feature raffles, basket auctions, fashion show, hat contest and luncheon. Tickets are $25 and are available at bnhv.org.
Holland Tulip Festival –Thursday through Saturday, May 8th through 10th throughout the Town of Holland. There will be midway rides throughout the event, a classic car show (Thursday), the Queen Pageant and Talent Show (Friday), an arts and crafts show (Saturday), and much more.
