Here are a few of the events you can look forward to in the early months of 2014.
Sunday in the Cemetery – beginning Sunday, January 5th through Sunday, April 27th at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1411 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. The weekly concert and lecture series takes place at 2 p.m. at the cemetery’s historic chapel – find more information at www.forest-lawn.com.
Night Lights at the Gardens – Wednesdays through Saturdays from January 29th through February 15th at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, 2655 South Park Ave. in Buffalo. See the Gardens in a whole new light – hours are 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, 6 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. Find out more at www.buffalogardens.com.
Sweet Charity – Thursday, February 6th from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Asbury Hall (otherwise known as Ani DiFranco’s “Church at Babeville”), 341 Delaware Ave. in Buffalo. Sweet Charity features local vendors offering samplings of the best in wine and beer tastings, coffee, desserts and hors d’oeuvres, and benefits the Food Bank of WNY. Tickets are $60 and are on sale now – purchase tickets and get more information at sweetcharityevent.com, or call 716-935-6677 (the Food Bank of WNY).
Buffalo Auto Show – Thursday through Sunday, February 6th through 9th at the Buffalo-Niagara Convention Center, 153 Franklin St. in downtown Buffalo. Get more information on the show as it becomes available at buffaloautoshow.com.
Buffalo Home and Garden Show – Friday through Sunday, March 7th through 9th and March 14th through 16th at the Buffalo-Niagara Convention Center, 153 Franklin St. in downtown Buffalo. Get more information on the show as it becomes available at www.buffalohomeshow.com.
